Knowing I was part of their big day is something truly unique and special. The tender chargrilled Spanish octopus is served with braised corona beans and a basil pistou. It’s really special to see the growth of their lives. & I get to be a part of someone’s wedding day… I mean how awesome is that?! I also love when we stay in touch after. ![]() I have the best brides, and they are people I really enjoy being around! I love a fun and friendly crew. The people I meet & how fun it is! I get to do what I love and I get to be around people who are so excited and happy. Trust the vendors you hired to do their thing and let your friends and family help and support you. Someone actually gave this advice to me before my wedding since I am such an overthinker: You can worry every day, every minute up until your wedding day, but once you are there on the day, do your best to let it go! If you stress all day, you really won’t enjoy it. What’s one piece of advice you would give a bride? I am a true believer that with really hard work and tenacity you truly can do anything!! Best decision I ever made. I persisted and kept working hard to create a successful business that makes women look and feel beautiful on their wedding days. & I truly went full force at it! I then became pregnant with my daughter and knew it was more important than ever to succeed. I did the 9-5 thing while growing my business and I also babysat. So I decided that was it! That’s what I wanted to do. ![]() I always loved doing makeup and making friends and family feel beautiful through the art of makeup. I wanted more control over my life & I really wanted to have a job I was passionate about. ![]() After nonstop rejection from the teaching world, I left it and worked in an office until I could determine what I wanted to do. So, I originally got my Masters in elementary education but it was so hard to find a teaching job, particularly one that was right for me. I always carry it in my purse (and am typically putting it on at a red light, lol!) Oh this is a really tough one… Mascara! It really opens your eyes up and looks natural when running out of the house (which is typically what I’m doing). If you could only survive with one makeup product, what would it be? I’m always wanting a new TV suggestion, so if you have any good ones LMK! Right now I’m into Curb, Squid Games, I’m rewatching Desperate Housewives, & I typically fall asleep to Modern Family at night. Makeup & starbucks… some things never change lol! As my skills grew, I actually started working for a makeup artist while I was still in high school while simultaneously working at Starbucks. I would always steal my mom’s makeup as a kid and (poorly) attempt a full face of makeup. ![]()
